IT’S OFFICIAL!!!!!!! AHHH!!!!!!
After going through all the most PERFECT homes to rent for my yearly Leadership retreat we found the perfect little villa for an intimate tropical setting right on the beach of the Tres Palmas Marine Reserve here in Rincon, Puerto Rico! Equipped with a pool, a huge back yard for our workouts and plenty of miles of beach to wander and talk about how crazy life can be if you just GO FOR IT! Last year we took the girls to Costa Rica and we had a blast! Riding bikes to the black sands beach, zip-lining, trips to the rain forest, daily workouts in the lush tropical air, delicious food and we plan to make it even better this year!
The first thing I thought when I was awarded my first all expenses paid vacation from simply doing something I LOVED was “why isn’t EVERYONE doing this?” Since then, Beachbody has whisked me away to 8 all expenses paid vacations (3 of them 5 STAR) and 3 Leadership events. Not to mention 2 trips for CAB and multiple plane rides for other interviews and events. Can you say DREAM JOB?
It was when my sponsor took me on my first vacation to bond in Belize after finishing the year Elite in 2012 that I experienced WANDERLUST. WHO DOES THAT? Asks someone “where do you want to go in the wordl?” And takes them there. This is the first time I had heard of anything like this and I was FLOORED. I just remember crying and doing LOTS of Yoga haha. Such extreme emotions of gratitude and I just kept asking her “how do I ever pay you back?” She just would always say “pay it forward.” And that’s how my team culture started with TRIPS, MEMORIES and CULTURE.
Sure, I could give them THINGS but what does that do for anyone? I MEAN, I do spoil them every month with gifts but I save the BIG stuff for my ELITE trip I do every year and my LEADERSHIP retreat! This will be the 3rd year we meet up for this trip and I couldn’t be more excited! I have some super fun stuff planned. I love spoiling my team and I may or may not have already started shopping. Beachbody’s events team sure has showed me what it means to make someone feel special, so I can only try to be half as good as they are.
The fact that I’ve only been a coach for 5 years and even just 3 years ago I could BARELY even afford to be buying a plane ticket for MYSELF to be able to do this for others is just INSANE! And I wanted to share about it because HOW COOL that there is a job out there that you can INVEST in other people’s LIVES? That you can make memories with them like this? I just remember sitting on the end of that dock in Belize thinking “I CAN’T WAIT TILL I CAN DO THIS FOR SOMEONE ELSE!” Then coming home and getting to work on my goals and my design for my life.
Thank you Cait Davies, Amanda Ratkowski, Meredith Gnau + Maggie Cox for making MY DREAMS come true by earning this trip and congrats to THEIR coaches who also earned the trip Mary Stewart, Moira Hynes Kucaba + Amber Bayer. It’s so cool that not only can I afford to do this but they can now start paying it forward as well. That to me is the best feeling and shows me that if someone wants this, THEY CAN GO OUT AND GET IT!!
