Can we all just go to Bali?
We all see those girls on Instagram doing yoga in an exotic location, inviting us all to fly to Bali, Costa Rica, or Mexico and participate in a amazing week of vegan food, self-love, and of course YOGA. There are a few things that hold me back from pressing pause on my life and responsibilities and jetting off to an exotic location to jump into a wellness retreat:
1. They are expensive! A lot of the ones that I have researched focus on yoga OR on cleansing and “detoxifying” the body, mainly with juices.
2. The duration of the retreats are either too short to get the benefits I want or way too long to take time away from my family and my career.
3. I have to stop my life to go reset. This means that I have to take what I have learned and apply it to my life when I get home while having little to no experience cooking vegan or vegetarian meals on my own or knowing how to live my life in a more balanced and healthy way instead of simply learning how to live the life I have now with more of a focus on wellness. So it’s almost a total waste.
Everything start with a decision and continues with commitment.
When I was at the annual Beachbody Coach Summit in Nashville I was challenged by the Co-Founder and CEO of Beachbody Carl Daikeler to commit fully to a program and finish it from front to back and most importantly to have fun in the last part of the year. I have been doing Beachbody for a number of years now and I have done almost every program that is in the catalog. At this point I enjoy mixing and matching my workouts. This past year I have been busting my ass with my fitness and to be honest it has been taking a toll on me. I am in need of a serious wellness retreat. I want to cleanse and detox my body and focus on rehabilitating and elongating my muscles after over a full year of high impact building and compressing my joints, spine, and muscles. I do not have the time in my schedule right now to head to Bali so I decided to get creative and have fun. While I was at Summit I committed to completing the Ultimate Reset and I came up with a fun way to get the wellness retreat feel without the travel, the time away from my life, and the price tag. But first…
Let’s talk about Kevin.
4 Years ago my husband Kevin was at a point in his life where he was unhappy. Unhappy with his job, with where life was going, with the thoughts filling his head, and with the physical shape he was in. He had conditioned himself to talk to himself negatively and to believe that he did not have the power to change his life or his circumstances. IT was impacting his happiness and our relationship and to a point where something had to change.
I had done the Ultimate Reset before and it gave me amazing results, it connected me to my food, showed me that I did have the discipline to make things happen in my life and that if I committed to something, I could accomplish it. All of this from a simple cleanse. So when Kevin was ready to make some changes I told him that we were going to do the Ultimate Reset together and that all he had to do was commit to doing it exactly as it is written, no substitutions and no excuses. He agreed and we started an amazing journey together.
In the book that lays out the plan for the Ultimate Reset and makes a suggestion to begin reading personal development during the 21 days. When Kevin read this he decided that he would stop reading the news every day and he would begin reading Awaken the Giant Within by Tony Robbins. This simple act had a huge impact on his life. He says that it changed the way that he talked to himself, carried himself, and interacted with others. Reading something positive combined with not filling his head with all of the negative from the news changed so much of his life.
At the end of the 21 days Kevin had lost 26 pounds and had totally transformed his life. The program gave him the tools to change the way he lived and the things he valued. It also helped him reaffirm the idea that if he wanted to do something he could do it if he committed fully. The 21 days ignited a passion in him for cooking and leading a holistically healthy life. This is why he credits The Ultimate Reset with saving his life.
Reset, reboot, detoxify, cleanse.
That is the power of the Ultimate Reset. It can literally change your life for the better, but what specifically is the Ultimate Reset and how does it help you down the road to wellness? The Ultimate Reset is a 21-day program that gently helps restore the body to its “factory settings” while maximizing energy production and nutrient retention. Ultimate Reset is a program designed to get the body in top shape internally, just as a fitness program gets the body in top shape externally. Anyone looking to restore energy, boost moods, and maximize health can dramatically improve the way they feel and function. The first week of the Ultimate Reset is phase one where you will reclaim your body, accessing its inner chemistry and preparing it for change. You’ll gradually remove foods such as red meat and dairy from your diet. With week two comes phase 2 where you begin to release unwanted compounds that have been holding your system back and start the detoxification process. This phase includes a gentle colon cleanse and digestive support. DON’T WORRY you won’t be running to the toilet. This is a gentle cleanse where you’ll be eating 3 meals a day + snacks. However, you’ll now be eating a fully vegan diet. Week three begins phase three where you’ll help restore your digestive system along with other internal processes to maximum efficiency, putting nutrients, enzymes, and pre-and probiotics back into your body. This is when you’ll start to really feel on top of the world and ready to yell from the roof tops how amazing you feel!
I thought you said wellness retreat?!
After the first week and a half of the Reset you will have access to an online Yoga Retreat that will be 21 days long. This retreat will be done on Beachbody On Demand and will begin with a week of straightforward yoga basics. The focus will be on basic positions and alignment, no fuss, no muss, just poses led by yogis who specialize in many different types of yoga. Week two takes it a little farther with some flow but it is still not too complicated or aggressive. Week three puts it all together and challenges you even more. One of the coolest things about this: YOU WILL BE IN THE FIRST GROUP TO DO THIS and it’s designed for BEGINNERS. Since there is NO working on on the reset (yes even I won’t be working out) this is the only thing you are cleared to do! You don’t want to release any lactic acid that could interfere with the detoxification and hard work your body is going to be going through.
Let’s do the damn thing.
There will be some fun surprises during our journey together and you will be added to a Facebook group with other people participating in our retreat. I will be going live in the group giving wellness tips, we will be reading some great personal development, and there will be some of my favorite videos from motivational speakers and mindset/personal development specialists. Basically, we are going to embark on a fantastic voyage into health and wellness. All of the aspects of this retreat have changed my life so much that I want to pass this on to you. I have been to many total immersion seminars and even hosted a retreat in Belize a few years ago so I know what it takes to make this an enjoyable experience but I also know it takes the individual to fully commit and play full out to give you the best results.
We will kick off on Monday August 22nd so you have to have your pack ordered by MONDAY AUGUST 15th to be in the group. We are going to be doing this right along side each other so every one is kicking off on the same day, me included. Do not miss out on this. We are coming into a time of the year where taking care of ourselves is not the priority and everyone else is. This is why it is imperative to reboot our systems and realign our priorities so that we are able to live the life we deserve. Join me on August 22nd and let’s make the end of the year as serene and healthy as it can be. Make sure when you get your pack you select a VEGAN Shakeology, I recommend chocolate since you will be on a strict meal plan for 21 days and will want your daily chocolate fix but this way it’s in the form of superfoods.
