In one of my last posts I told you what I love best about my top 10 favorite Beachbody programs. Now, I’m sharing the very best workouts from those great fitness programs.
These satisfyingly tough workouts are the ones that have really helped me transform my body – and my whole way of thinking about fitness in general – well beyond what I ever thought possible, so how could I not love them?
If you’re thinking about trying one of the programs – or investing in Beachbody on Demand, which gives you access to a many of the top-rated programs for one low monthly price – these hard-core workouts should help you decide if one, or maybe all of them, is right for you.

The Best Beachbody Workouts
1. Max Out Power (Insanity Max:30)
Interval training at its best, this challenge-packed workout uses plyometrics to push you past your comfort zone. Way past!
The 45-seconds on, 15-seconds off routine is brutal, but the benefits will show in improved strength and endurance, especially when you can make it through the whole thing.
2. Flat Abs Fix (21 Day Fix Extreme)
This 30-minute workout – part of the 21 Day Fix upgrade package – targets your muffin top and totally wins. You want flat abs? You’ll get them if you put in the fat-burning work required.
A mix of cardio, toning and sculpting, this half-hour session will help you melt away that pooch, revealing amazingly chiseled muscles.
3. Friday Fight: Round 1 (Insanity Max: 30)
If you ever wondered how far you could push yourself, this is the workout that will let you know. Part cardio, part strength training, it’s fast-paced and seriously tough.
No doubt, you’ll “max out,” but you’ll find yourself pushing your body – and your mind – to try again, and that’s when you’ll start seeing real results.
4. High and Tight (Brazil Butt Lift)
Targeted exercises tone, tighten and lift your bum by zeroing in on all three different muscles, not just the gluteus maximus.
This 25-minute sculpting workout promises to take your booty to new heights, and it totally delivers.
5. Sweat (PiYo)
This mix of yoga and Pilates – it focuses on strength training, sculpting and toning – uses fast-paced cardio moves and the resistance of body weight to transform your body.
Yoga and Pilates work because over time the moves change your body completely. You’ll be stronger, more toned and more flexible, which has benefits across the board.
6. Lower Fix Extreme (21 Day Fix)
This lower body workout uses resistance to tone and sculpt muscles, giving you leaner, stronger glutes, quads, calves and hamstrings.
The lower body is the toughest to transform, but this workout does it, as long as you do the hard work needed to get the results.
7. Dynamix (P90X3)
This action-packed stretching workout is designed to help you improve your overall performance by increasing your range of motion, your flexibility and your stability. You’ll notice the benefits not only during other P90X3 workouts, but also during hikes, Saturday afternoon football games and other activities.
The dynamic stretching moves in this workout are a great way to help prevent injuries, because they’ll make you stronger AND more flexible.
8. Max Out Cardio (Insanity Max:30)
If you’re looking for a tough cardio workout, this is it. Part of the second month of the Insanity Max:30 program, these moves are all about beefing up your endurance.
Your muscles will melt, but you’ll be clamoring to try again after you max out.
9. Barre Legs (21 Day Fix)
Another workout from the 21 Day Fix upgrade package, this lower body workout requires a 30-minute investment, but gives you stronger, sleeker hips, thighs and glutes in the process.
Like the name suggests, your legs will rival a ballet dancer’s, all from the comfort of your own home.
10. The Warrior (P90X3)
This total body workout packs a lot into 30 minutes, including core strengthening and cardio. Inspired by tough military workouts, it doesn’t require any equipment, so you can do it virtually anywhere.
The fast-paced moves help you torch calories fast while strengthening and toning your entire body.
