It is time for a new program. We are in the middle of summer already and we are going to need something fun and exciting to carry us through August and into the Fall. That is why Beachbody is releasing a brand new 100 Day program called Morning Meltdown 100. This program is designed and led by Super Trainer Jericho McMatthews who led the MMA inspired program Core De Force. I was fortunate enough to be selected to test this program out and let me tell you, it was FUN and I got some great postpartum results. (I will be doing a recap this week on my experience with the program and my results so stay tuned!). Suffice it to say I am now at a point where I feel like myself again and it is largely due to the daily workouts and commitment that it took to get through 100 days straight of being dialed in.

What is Morning Meltdown 100?

Jericho designed this program to be fun and packed with variety. There is some HIIT, some weight lifting, some yoga and stretching inspired workouts, and some that have a little bit of everything. It never gets stale and grows with you over the 100 days.  Though you do not have to do the workout in the morning the idea is that you will start your day with a positive workout that will propel you through your day and keep you off the excuse train and on track to a better you. Jericho had this to say about working out in the morning, “Waking up and sweating means starting your day with an endorphin rush, which instantly boosts your mood and sets a positive tone for the rest of your day. You’ll feel happier, more accomplished, and less stressed, and you’ll have extra energy to tackle the rest of your day as it unfolds.”

Morning Meltdown 100 brings the beats.

I think it is safe to say that we all love our music when we work out. It helps us push through the tough parts and really bring it all the way through. Beachbody brought in a live DJ for each of the 100 workouts in Morning Meltdown 100. This is a nice twist to previous programs, he spins live beats during training so the tempo is synched with each move. It really helps. When you are pushing through a tough cardio set and Jericho wants you to go faster the DJ picks up the tempo. If it is a squat set and Jericho wants you to go slow and make sure you are going to depth the DJ slows the beat and really makes you push.It also makes each workout seem fresh and adds more variety so you are not hearing the same thing or some generic music each time you press play.

What Kinds of Workouts Are Included in Morning Meltdown 100?

This is an easy question because the answer is: all kinds. There is a little bit of everything thrown into this workout, heavy lifting, aerobic, HIIT, MMA inspired training, yoga inspired flows, timed workouts with an as many reps as possible component, and some recovery and well., The program is 7 days per week and there are 100 different workouts. Each workout has the DJ synchronizing his beats with the tempo of the workout and Jericho is there to push you through a motivating, no-nonsense workout that builds with you as the program progresses.

Should you do Morning Meltdown 100?

The short answer is YES! This program is challenging and fun and will give you a platform to add a little bit of positivity to your day for 100 days straight. Morning Meltdown 100 was designed with everyone in mind, there are a couple of different modifiers in each workout and people going all out so you can follow anyone of the cast members for each move depending on your fitness levels. Morning Meltdown 100 is broken down into blocks and the work progresses on each block so as your fitness level rises you can keep being challenged which will keep you engaged. There is seriously something for everyone in Morning Meltdown 100 and the length of the program gives you ample time to build some seriously healthy habits and make health, fitness, and nutrition a part of your daily life. I love the commitment and the feeling of accomplishment I got when I completed the 100 days and I cannot wait to do this with my group and my team and see the changes that come with the hard work.
