There are so many benefits to Beachbody, but I could have never imagined half of them when I started my journey five years ago.

Both my mind and body are fit and healthy in a way beyond anything I ever thought possible, and because of my success, I have been able to build a satisfying career coaching others to be their own personal best.

If that’s not amazing enough, I also get to travel the globe while working, taking advantage of white sand beaches and sun-drenched tropical locales, which is maybe the best part of my job, since it fulfills a dream I have had ever since I realized there was a colorful world outside my own.

And while most business travelers usually find themselves holed up in a hotel in Portland or Scranton – which would only be cool if Dunder-Mifflin Paper Company and its quirky employees from “The Office” actually existed – I travel to some of the world’s most magnificent places, getting a chance to see the world in all its sun-drenched glory, and I travel well. No sad hotel rooms in overcrowded cities for this girl!

But before you stop reading in order to wallow in self-pity, why don’t you take a few minutes and let me tell you how you can live a similar life, without selling all your worldly possessions and becoming a nomad or gypsy with nothing at all to tie you down. (Sure, you can do that, but there is another way.)

The only thing stopping you is yourself.

Through Beachbody, I am able to juggle my house payment, a car payment and caring for animals along with travel to some really exciting places, including France, Jamaica, Switzerland, Italy and Costa Rica first class. I just came home from an all expenses paid Cruise for me and my hubby to Jamaica + the Bahamas! My most exciting trip this year though is to Bora Bora, a place I never thought in a million years I’d be able to visit, 5 Star all the way!

I am able to live my dream life for several reasons and YOU CAN TOO!

Work while you travel

As a Beachbody coach, I am able to merge work and travel, giving me a free-spirited lifestyle that still allows me to put down roots. Making money while traveling to some of the most idyllic places in the world is a great way to celebrate the healthy new life I’ve created. You see a lot of bloggers out there who preach about a minimalist lifestyle which is WHY they can travel but in all reality, if we want to have a family one day, retirement and be able to donate to the causes we are passionate about — living off $5 a day is not going to cut it. There are ways you can make 6 figures AND travel!

Leverage your miles

I spend miles, not money. Because my credit cards offer rewards for purchases, I was able to opt for miles, and they quickly add up. Check out what cards are available to you and take advantage of this great option. This year I will be debt free because of coaching so I can really focus on maximizing instead of struggling. Credit shouldn’t be lived off of, it should be used for perks!

Look beyond the hotel room

Get a room in a better way. Airbnb is like a modern – and much nicer – version of the youth hostels that allow many young people to backpack across Europe without spending a lot of money. The service allows you to reserve an apartment or a spare room from someone who lives and knows the region if you want to travel on the cheap. I also personally try to stay in Airbnb‘s when I travel so I have access to a kitchen! As you know, staying fit and on my meal plan is important to me! As much as I travel (which is sometimes once a month) I don’t want to back track and feel shitty! Nutrition isn’t just for your waistline, it’s for your peace of mind! Get 25% off with my discount code HERE when booking your next trip!

If you want to spend a little more, rent a whole house and invite your friends to come along. Living in a space designed for the region gives you a more authentic travel experience by immersing you in the culture in more ways than one. I do this for my retreats sometimes for my team, it’s fun to spoil them and live together for the weekend!

Don’t let your life get in your way

Create a travel-friendly life. Even if you have kids, pets and plants to water, you can create a jet-set life, as long as you make plans to accommodate the things you are responsible for. Find a pet sitter willing to water your plants and grab your mail – a relative or the teen next door looking to make a few extra bucks – and find out what kind of child care will be available at your destination so you don’t end up bringing the kids to a business meeting. It is possible! Something that I want you to also consider is a traveling nanny! I know this sounds expensive and far fetched but it’s not unheard of to see a Beachbody coach with a new baby at an event with her nanny. I’m grateful for the fact that if I ever did want to start a family, I could still travel and have a few extra hands to help!

Ticket tricks

Save even more money by traveling on off days. Tickets for a Friday or Saturday departure can be twice as much as those for a Monday or Tuesday, and booking in advance can save you some serious cash. Airlines will take advantage of last-minute travelers, so be prepared.

Prioritize and have vision

If you really want it, you can make it happen. Make travel a priority and add it to your vision board to keep focused. Small expenses add up to a lot. Can you live without your pricey daily coffee fix if it means you can splurge on surfing lessons in the Caribbean? Or replace it with Shakeology and start a coaching business like I did back when I couldn’t afford to even pay my rent! All it means is making the changes you want to see in your life. Not wait for them to happen to you! Join the team HERE.

Set goals, make small steps toward them daily, and soon you won’t be just wishing you could travel, you’ll be the one posting gorgeous photos on Instagram while you set back and soak in the sunshine with friends and family.
